28-Home Subdivision

This 28-home subdivision will provide climate-resilient housing for members displaced by the 2021 Lytton Creek wildfire.  

The subdivision will be located on Nuuautin 2B, which is close to many LFN neighbourhoods, Battlefield Community Hall, the Health Centre, and Highway 1.

It will have a mixture of one- two-, and three-bedroom houses so displaced families of all sizes can secure housing. The homes will also be resilient to fires and have fencing around them for privacy.  

Project Updates 

• Federal funding for the project design was approved last month
• Aplin Martin is currently designing the subdivision
• Aplin Martin is putting together a federal funding application to cover most of the construction costs; once this funding is secured, construction will begin
• Tenders for the construction will be put up on our website
• The foundation for the homes will be poured in August
