Vicky Ford (Isaac). My father is John Andrew Isaac born in Chaumox, son of George and Minnie Isaac. My mother Isabel Hilda Isaac (Oates), daughter of Isaac Harry and Angelena (Lavaguer) Oates. My grandparents raised their family on the Westside. I was 6 when my maternal grandma passed, and 11 when my maternal grampa Oates passed. I did not get to meet my paternal grandparents.
I was one of twenty siblings. I was born in Lytton and raised on the Westside (Spapym)
I attended Lytton Elementary School from grades 1 to 7. Then we moved to North Bend, B.C.
In Boston Bar, I met Peter, (my husband of now 41 years) and soon after, we moved to Lillooet and began our own family of five boys and a daughter. Later after a move to Oliver, I restarted my education, gaining a Business diploma from Okanagan College in Penticton, and then, after a move to Alberta, I graduated from Canadian University with a bachelor’s degree in business (BBA). It was there that my interest was turned to Human Resource Management, and I entered the HR program and later got my Master of Arts degree from Royal Roads University in Victoria. I am grateful for the support and encouragement I received from the LFN Education department.
Over the years I have worked as a student, business partner, mother, clerical worker, administrative assistant, human resource manager, Administrator for Xaxli’p, and most recently I did the HR for LFN before taking on the Administrator position.
I am committed to following well established polices with an emphasis on fairness and honesty, to allow us to stay focused on the goal of being successful in serving our community. I enjoy seeing the staff succeed and the people we serve--blessed, and I am looking forward to being a part of that here in my hometown!
I did enjoy my short stay in the human resource department. I am now committed to serving as Administrator, and I look forward to meeting, and getting reacquainted with more of the community members.
