Introduction Letter from John Sam

November 18, 2020

Hello, My name is John Sam from Nickeyeah Creek. My late mother was Margaret Bent who was originally from Springs near Merritt and my late father was Eric Sam. I have had two fathers since Dad passed away. One was Smith Bent who was a veteran from Shulus and who served in Tank corp. My other father was Reynold Blatchford who was a rancher, Councilor and one who spoke his mind truthfully.

I have recently lived in Williams Lake and have been there for six years where I managed a Band owned Gas Station called Chief Will Yum Gas Bar and Store.

I have experience in Business Plans, Cash Flows, funding sources for Projects to be undertaken.

At present I am assisting LFN in the Agriculture Committee.

I am looking forward to returning home to assist the LFN in various Projects that are on the go and ones that they want to start.

Humuleth

John Sam

Survivor

P.S. I am in the midst of writing a book about my experiences as a pupil at St. George's Indian Residential School where I attended from 1953  until 1964.
