Status Card Information

Indian Registry Administrator up-date 2025/08/19

Secure Certificate of Indian Status applications are available on this website and at the Lytton First Nation Office down load at:

Registered member can take their completed application with two pieces updated Government Identification to Indian Affairs Office (ISC) 600-1138 Melville Street call for an appointment 1-800-665-9320 for an appointment, two(2) passport photo’s.

If you are bringing in your registered child/ren you must bring one (1) piece of ID. i.e. birth certificate, BC service card.

Birth Registration

Parents would need to order the long birth certificate with both names, application requires both signatures, signing primary parent. If both parents are registered the child will be added 100% aboriginal, if the other registered parent is not on the birth certificate the child loses 50% automatically. There is also a guarantor application that will need to filled and signed, this can also be signed by any SCIS holder too.

Marriage Certificate ISC requires a copy of Marriage Certificate and declaration of surname on marriage form you must register, in order to avoid delays.

Divorce Certificate of Divorce for divorces after 1986 or Divorce Decree Absolute for divorces before 1986 to avoid delays please have registered.

Death Certificate This must be registered at ISC for registered members that have passed away in order to remove them from the band list.

To avoid delays these steps need to be in place.

Identification that are needed for applying for Secure status of Indian Certificate: Birth Certificate, Drivers Licence, BCID, BC Service Card, Student I.D., Fire arms, Marriage Certificate, just a reminder to review your expiration date on these ID.

BC Service card has an expire date on it as of 2011. If you only have the red Care Card that is no longer accepted.

Please call to ensure I am available to update your 5/10 year Status Card. Remember to always check you expired date on your ID to avoid delay. If your 10 year card has 6 month to a year please come into to re-new.
